“Demo Hotel”

“Demo Hotel” is an 80-room hotel in the city centre. For the operator three things are critical: quiet rooms, easy maintenance and units that withstand heavy guest use.

Solution

• Guest rooms — a window system with enhanced sound insulation and glazing units with laminated panes of different thickness for better acoustic comfort next to a busy street.

• Balconies — lift-and-slide doors: a guest opens a wide passage with one turn of the handle, and when closed the sash presses firmly against the seals.

• Restaurant and lobby — a full-height stick curtain wall on the ground floor with an entrance unit.

Operation

The hotel team received a maintenance guide: annual hardware lubrication, seal checks and cleaning of finishes with pH-neutral detergents. All room sashes have opening restrictors for safety.

The profile colour matches the facade cladding, and all room windows share one sill height for a coherent street elevation. Gaskets and hardware were selected for intensive daily use.

Installation proceeded floor by floor alongside room fit-out so the hotel could open on the operator’s schedule.
